Water Heaters

Replace vs. Repair

Our experts can look at the problem and will be able to recommend the best option.  Sometimes a repair can only buy you some time, as water in Hawaii is corrosive to water heaters.  Water build-up in and around your water heater or water not getting hot enough, are signs that it  may be time for a new one.

If you need to replace your existing water heater, we help you every step of the way, from picking out the right model for your home and budget, to installing the new one professionally, and up to code, and removing the old useless one. We take care of everything!

New Water Heater Features

Newer water heaters are more efficient than older models. Manufacturers continually make improvements to the technology.  All models include a warranty. It is easy to switch from an older water heater to a newer style, or even going tankless, saving you money and hassle.

Toilet Repairs and Replacement

Symptoms of a Faulty Toilet

Clogs

While a simple paper clog can usually be cleared with a plunger, some clogs require a professional.

Leaks around the bottom

The wax ring under your toilet may need replacing, or the bolts may need tightening.

Tank refills constantly or won’t fill

The interior parts of a toilet tank need occasional replacing, especially if you have hard water.

Cracks in toilet tank or bowl:

Cracks may not be noticeable at first, but the water around the toilet will be.

Most toilet problems only get worse over time.  If you notice water where it shouldn’t be, a strong sewage smell, or noises coming from your plumbing, call us to avoid a more costly repair down the road!

We are experts at quickly diagnosing and repairing ALL toilet issues that arise.

Our technicians are experienced with all brands and models of toilets. We can help you pick out a new toilet if yours is in need of replacement. Our plumbers provide helpful insight into problems you may not be as familiar with.

Sewer and Main Line Issues

Sewer backups are a pricey mess. Damage and rehabilitation can be extra costly. Having a regular check and clean out can save you money down the road.

Blockages in the sewer main or septic line can lead to your sewer backing up. Tree roots can also lead to problems if they grow into your lines.

Symptoms can be similar to a clogged drain or can be as severe as a yard flood. Don’t wait to call! Problems like these only get worse.

Signs of a Clogged Main Line:

  • Multiple backed up drains
  • Water coming out of clean-out
  • Sewage in lowest floor drain
  • Water backs up in shower when toilet is flushed
  • Bubbling in toilet when using sink

Our Process

Main line clean outs should only be attempted by a professional due to the tools and skills required to do it effectively. Our experts will assess the issue to determine if it is a main line or other issue. We have specialty cameras designed to find and identify the problem.

Once the source is identified, we will provide you a an estimate of the work.  Our pro will then use a professional, powered pipe “snake” to clear out your drain. We will make note of any other issues and recommend other services as needed. Before leaving we will clean up the area around our work and ensure all drains are working correctly.

Having your lines cleaned every couple of years can prevent a massive cost if you have a backup. The cost of repair and remediation, such as damage to floors and drywall, can be thousands of dollars. The average cost of a major back-up is $4,800.

Sink Repair and Installation

Our sinks are part of our daily lives. They help us cook, clean, and collect our waste. So, when it’s time to install a new sink or replace an existing one, you should rely on professionals who’ll ensure that your sink installation or repair stands the test of time.

Important factors when replacing your current sink:

  • The depth of your current sink
  • What type of pipe your new sink will use
  • Whether the new sink will cover your existing hole
  • The presence of water stains and condition of the surrounding countertop
  • Proper sealing methods and products
  • Faucet and fixture selection

There are a lot of factors that go into selecting a replacement sink, especially for the kitchen. Our experts can help you determine what type of sink mount is compatible with your installation, how many holes, alignment of the drains, etc. Our experts will provide you with a detailed quote that will include any additional plumbing required to make the new sink fit your installation.

Our Process

We unpack, inspect and install your new sink, making sure to secure it to your existing plumbing. Finally, we will connect your new sink to your faucet or garbage disposal. Our team respects your home so, when we are done, we clean up job-related materials

Faucet Replacement

Common Problems

Dripping and Leaking:

Sometimes this can be as simple as a faulty rubber O-ring or mineral build up.

Rust and Corrosion:

If your faucet is corroded on the outside, chances are it’s also corroded on the inside, which can cause plumbing leaks.

Spraying unevenly:

This can be the result of a faulty aerator or mineral buildup.  We can repair or replace any broken parts, do a thorough clean out, and get your faucet working great in no time!

Faucet makes noise when off:

This can be as simple as a broken water hammer inside the faucet, or it may indicate a larger plumbing problem in the pipes such as a leak or a drop in water pressure.

Leaking faucets can cause more than irritating noises. A large drip can be a source of major excess water use. We can help you repair your current faucets by replacing parts such as O-rings and shower valves. We can also help you pick the right replacement to match your installation type.

Replace vs Repair

The majority of faucets are simply cheaper to replace than they would be to repair, plus a new faucet can really upgrade the look of your space. The exception would be fixtures such as shower faucets or large tub faucets that can be difficult to remove. These typically can have the interior valve replaced to make them work like new!

Drain Cleaning

There’s nothing more annoying than stepping into the shower and standing in ankle-deep water, or flushing the toilet only to wait five minutes for the water to drain. If this is happening to you, then you likely need a drain cleaning. Our experts can quickly diagnose the issue and provide a quote to fix the issue.

Typically if a drain is clogged, the other plumbing in the house will work fine. If one sink is causing another to backup, it could be the main line.

Sometimes your drains just don’t seem to cooperate. Maybe the pipes are old, maybe there’s a clog somewhere.

Whatever the reason, here are a few signs you should look out for:

  • Slow draining sink
  • No water pressure in the shower
  • Toilets don’t flush properly
  • Kitchen sink backed-up
  • Tub doesn’t drain after showering

Our team of processionals specialize in getting you back in flow with your kitchen sink or drain problems. We are always just a phone call away.
